Membership in the League of Women Voters is open to men (since the 1970’s) and women of all ages. There are more than 850 local and state affiliates. The League was formed by suffragetes in 1920 and is one of America’s most trusted grassroots organizations. We are where hands-on work to safeguard democracy leads to civic improvement. Members are actively engaged in effecting change at the local, state, and national levels.  When you join the Louisville League of Women Voters, you automatically become a member at the three levels: Louisville, Kentucky, and United States.  See www.lwvlouisville.org for more information.
